My Story
About Me
Hi, I’m Lacey Garcia, the owner and stylist behind Raven Salon in Nebraska City. My journey in the beauty industry began almost two decades ago, but my love for creativity and design has been part of me for as long as I can remember.
I studied communications and mass media, dabbled in interior design, and eventually followed my heart into cosmetology. After earning my license, I built my career in Denver, Colorado, where I worked with Floyd’s Barbershop before opening my first business, Lucky Lu’s Salon in 2008. Owning and running a salon in a big city taught me so much—not just about the art of hairstyling, but also about people, community, and the power of creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and transformed.
Eventually, life brought me back home to Nebraska, and with that came the opportunity to create something new: Raven Salon. The name was inspired by strength, beauty, and a little bit of mystery—qualities I try to bring into both the atmosphere of the salon and the work I do with my clients. My goal has always been simple: to help people feel confident and beautiful in a way that fits their personality and lifestyle.
Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for precision haircuts, custom color, and modern, wearable styles. But what I value most is the connection I build with each person who sits in my chair. For me, hairstyling is about so much more than technique—it’s about listening, understanding, and creating an experience where someone leaves not only looking amazing, but feeling refreshed and recharged.
Outside of the salon, I’m a mom to my daughter, Iris, who inspires me every day. Together, we started Iris & Ember Candle Co., a small business that grew out of a creative hobby and became another outlet for my love of design and storytelling. Between the salon and candles, I stay busy, but I wouldn’t trade it—I’ve built my life around creativity, connection, and community, and those are the things that bring me the most joy.
Raven Salon isn’t just a place for great hair—it’s a space where people can relax, laugh, and leave feeling like the best version of themselves. I’m so grateful to share my passion with Nebraska City and the clients who have trusted me over the years.
